Updated Resume + Legal help.

I’ve decided to do a little revamping to my resume so please feel free to find it under the “resume” tab on the homepage. Also, I’ve decided that I’m going to add a “legal” tab to help others going through their 1L year try to make sense of things by checking out what I’ve done to try to get by. I look forward to seeing if anyone finds it beneficial; I surely wish that I had found people to give me pointers/tips throughout my 1L year.

  1. Hey I randomly googled images of New England Law and your blog popped up as one of the results. I am planning to attend the school this upcoming fall. Seeing as you have already gone through the first year (or are still working on it), I was wondering if you could give me some tips. How did you find your apartment and find ways to move? I am freaking out about this right now since I have a lot of shit to move over there and rent over there is definitely higher than where I am from (Madison, WI) lol. Any tips would helps! thanks!

  2. Hi Kim!

Thanks for your comment. I would be glad to answer any questions you may have about NEL|B. I was able to find my roommates through the “Admitted Students” tab on the http://www.nesl.edu website. Through that, I was able to find people with common interests as me and picked my two current roommates that way. From there, my roommates and I were all out of state students so one of my roommates actually flew up here to Boston and checked out some random places. The apartment that we ended up leasing (which I love, by the way!) was found through a realtor at http://gatewayreg.com/

I’d say personally as I’m doing my apartment search for the upcoming year, to definitely use Craigslist. You’d be amazed at the nice places you can find through there and you also have the option to do a “rooms/shared” option where people may have a 1bedroom opening in their already existing apartments.

I totally agree about rent, I came from Tampa, FL and the rent is at least $400+/mth. The financial aid department will help to ease your stress. Let me know what else I can help with, I’d be happy to make this an easier process for you 🙂
